Drew & Maude

Allow me to introduce my latest dolls... my two 'Little Spooks', Drew and Maude

Halloween is their favourite time of year! As you can see they are already all dressed up and ready for trick or treatin'!!

Miss Drew has a little vamp costume, complete with tiny fangs, I love her top hat, adorned with a maribou feather and a cameo button (much much thanks to a certain miss Emily from the 'Saturday Stitches Club', Drew's hat wouldn't have been the same without it!)

She wears fishnets and be-ribboned shoes, and  a lace fingerless glove, she even has some black lacey undies on!! Her adorable dress is lined with the most georgeous, soft,  polka dot tulle that you can get here from nuvonova

Miss Maude, on the other hand, is decked out in a cutesy wee witch costume!

Witches' hat, stripey stockings, a-line shift dress with peter-pan collar, buttons and pockets, tiny mary-janes with gold buckles...

...but my favourite part of Maude's costume is her Broomstick, hand sculpted and painted by yours truly... I am so pleased with it!!

The girls are now available in my Etsy Shop... to celebrate I am offering FREE SHIPPING for a very limited time only!!! Also if you would like have BOTH ladies come and live at yours, you can use the following code for a 10% (the code can only be used if purchasing BOTH dolls!)

All my dolls are completely handstitched!

Bea, a Little Deer...

This is Bea.... she has just gently reminded me that she hasn't had a blog post of her own.... Sorry Bea, I completely forgot!

Bea, is such a little darling, she is softly spoken, sometimes timid and often giddy, a great listener, she's always there to lend an ear to a needy friend... That's why everyone loves her so!

She sports a hand-stitched patchwork skirt, (made from 'Fig Tree & Co' fabric- yum!), with a hand- embroidered trim, all her accents are in geranium, a lovely coral/red colour! Made from quality wool mix felt and cotton, she is available in my Etsy Shop if you'd like to take her home!

Bea, has a few tiny little buttons and some wire in her cute antlers, so she would not be suitable for babies or very young children, she would however be perfect for display and/or the grown up doll lover ;)

So, there you go little Bea.... your very own blog post ;)

Fancy winning my latest 'Lou Loves This Doll'? Read on dear readers....

I'd like you to meet Clara.... whilst making Clara, she tried to tell me that her name was Autumn, but she was fibbing, her name, in full, is Clara-Belle III....Clara is quite proper and oh so sweet and charming, she always says please and thank you, has excellent table manners and is rather fond of french pastries! (aren't we all??)

She told me lately that she is an aspiring artist and longs to travel, so after a long chat we decided that she should set of on some adventures of her own, it's time for her to fly the coup. So... her satchel is fully stocked with pencils and a brand new sketchbook, for her to draw all the lovely new things and people she will see....... she and I are really excited...

Would you like Clara to come live with you? If so head on over to Oh By Golly, where the lovely Jacklyn is hosting a giveaway!! Yay!

Hey Dollface...

Hi everyone!! Wanna see what I have been working on?

My Dollface Brooch Collection

These are the lovely little ladies in my 'Dollface Brooch Collection'. They are teensy tiny little dollfaces, only 2 " wide! I'm tellin' ya, there is something about sewing miniature things, I really love it! They came about when I was thinking of a small project for the girls at my Saturday Stitches Club... the rest, as they say is history ;)

Beau

Beau was first, I like to think of her as sweet and very fashion conscious! She has a mini mint bow in her pretty pink hair...

Beau

Rose

Next up is Rose.... she is graceful and sophisticated... she has the tiniest dusky pink rose in her hair...

Rose

Poppy

Miss Poppy was the next wee Dollface to emerge from my needle... let me tell you, she is a sassy little lady, prone to the occasional diva strop! Her flamboyant hair accessory fits her character perfectly...

Poppy

Blossom

Blossom is very cute and very girly, and she always wears a few cherry blossoms in her hair... it's her signature look don't ya know!

Blossom

The Girls are all available now in my Etsy Shop ...

Thanks for dropping by, see you all soon...

PS Is anyone else excited that their favourite tv shows all start back again this month??? I am I am I am!

Pippa says thanks...

So, I haven't been blogging for very long, in fact five weeks to the very day! In those five short weeks I have met so many lovely, sweet people and so many exciting things have happened! As a follower of the online craft community for many years, I already knew how warm, welcoming and inclusive it was, but to experience this first hand is something quite special.

Blogging and selling my wares has has been a dream of mine for a very long time, but I never did it.... this year has been somewhat of a life changer for me, which I may tell you all about sometime soon ;), and I think that this is the very thing that spurred me on.... to embrace that little dream of mine....

Which is why it means so much that someone would take the time to comment, to follow, to feature, or to give a nod or a shout out. This girl is grateful.... so....Thank you. :)

Pippa wanted to say thanks too....

She is clad entirely in mint green and poppy red, embroidered shoes, a cute little pocket on her apple print skirt (to keep all her essentials in!), floaty, lacy sleeves and a peter-pan collar.

She is quite particular about her hair, she wears it swooped into a fashionable side bun with an adorable tiny little red bow!

Pippa is available in my Etsy Shop .... have a look see!

Until next time! I have lots of exciting things happening over the next few months that I would LOVE to tell you about, but they will have to wait, all in good time, as they say ;) I have so many more 'Lou Loves This... Dolls' planned, my wee blog has just hit the five thousand hits mark and I also have two, yes two, tutorials on the horizon!!!  I'm a happy girl.... Stay tuned...

Open for Business...

So... I'm just a wee bit excited right about now.... My Etsy shop is now open! You can have a peek here or click out my ad/linky thingy on the right. It took me hours and hours to complete, I kept procrastinating over everything, and worrying if I had this right or that right, I wanted everything perfect.... I am really happy with the result and I hope you are too!

To celebrate, let me introduce Rita....

Look at her little sailor outfit!! I adored every single minute of stitchin' this little one up, she has a tiny sailor hat ...

...her stripey skirt is trimmed with polka dot binding and a anchor and chain medallion...

...I ran a whipped running stitch around her Mary-Janes to look like some nautical rope and made her a tiny sailor collar.

Actually, as I type this I am reminded of an outfit that my Mum put me in for a wedding when I was, maybe, 10... it was complete with a sailor hat, navy jacket with white sailor collar and white skirt. Go Mum!! I loved that outfit.... I rocked that outfit... That must be where my love of all things nautical comes from!  My nautical pinterest board .

I have much more to report so I promise not to leave it too long 'til my next post. But for now, I must go 'cause a little girl with mint green hair, made of felt and fabric is calling my name ;)

Thanks for dropping by...
